New Year. New Beginnings. New Craft.

Knitting is for old ladies, right? I thought so for most of my adulthood. Then one summer, my aunt taught me how to cast-on (long-tail), knit, and cast-off. I was hooked!

From that summer on, I have been obsessed with knitting and finding luxury yarns that didn't require me to mortgage my house. I was having trouble finding luxury yarns in stores -- I literally live in a town with a population of 300 people. When I did venture out (in my ever-so-fashionable face mask) to the big box stores, I was often dissatisfied by the lack of luxury yarns and colors that were available. Sure, I did order yarns online, but I would have to wait and wait and wait for my yarns to arrive and patience is not a virtue of mine.

After joining Instagram, a whole new world of knitting opened up! I had no idea that DIY yarn dyeing was even a thing! I fell in love with the aspect of creating my own colorways from luxury yarns! I was hooked!

Fast forward to today -- I have started my own yarn dyeing business. I still knit! In fact, I have started designing my own patterns. I do, however, enjoy knitting some of the beautiful patterns created by others as well.

.....and there you have it! The Purled Peach was born!

P.S. My husband doesn't really know how much I spend on yarn. Shhhh...don't tell him!
